Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I can understand your frustration but please try to remain calm. As stated, the program itself cant be removed. There is no option to remove it anywhere within Windows itself.

So how did you go about deleting it? Did you just remove the WMP folder or the executable file? There is no option to reinstall the program. As you can see right on the Windows Media Player website there is no download available to get to reinstall the program.

If that doesnt work you will have to try a restore point. I advice you to use the steps recommended by Alex in doing a system restore and getting your Windows Media Player back. Then once it has returned we can try and fix the corrupted library issue. This will bring up the Services dialog box. Double click on this service. Then under Server Status, click on the Stop button. Now the status should say Stopped. Once the wmdb file has been deleted, restart Windows Media Player.

The Windows Media Player database should begin to repopulate. It may take some time to complete depending on the number of files. This should fix your Windows Media Player corrupt database.

Before you can uninstall Windows Media Player from Windows 7, you need to log in to your PC using an account that has administrative privileges.

This will open the Uninstall or Change a Feature window. Locate a folder in the window labeled Media Features and click the Plus symbol next to it. Listed here are the media features installed on your PC. Look for an entry labeled Windows Media Player and uncheck the box next to it.
